ILEG in partnership with IHRB-The Nairobi Process successfully hosted the 2nd Extractive Sector Forum (ESF) on April 20th 2016 at Amber Hotel in Nairobi. The theme of the forum was stakeholder engagement in the context of upstream oil & gas and mining in Kenya. It brought together over 40 participants from upstream oil & gas and mining companies; civil society, and academia working on oil & gas and mining issues in Kenya. The event was led by seasoned moderators and an impressive list of speakers with vast experience in stakeholder engagement and oil & gas and mining issues. They included University of Nairobi’s Dr Connie Mumma-Martinon, Oil and Energy Servises CEO Mwendia Nyaga, Tullow Oil’s Social Performance Manager, Robert Gerrtis and Ujamaa Centre CEO Patrick Ochieng.
