ILEG in partnership with adelphi research gemeinnützige GmbH held a good practice exchange workshop on local climate action on 29th September 2016 in Kwale. This was the first in a series of 5 such workshops planned under the VLED project to provide opportunities for exchange between county governments for enhancing learning and understanding of relevant climate change innovations, issues, and planning processes, and motivate them to take up action. The workshops sought to foster peer-to-peer learning on climate resilient low emission development. The events was modelled and adapted in line with the National Climate Initiative (NKI) formats of good-practice exchange implemented for and with German Municipalities.
